Weald to Waves
Who are Weald to Waves?
The Weald to Waves project aims to create a 100-mile-plus nature recovery corridor across Sussex, connecting fragmented landscapes to boost biodiversity, capture carbon, enhance food production, and enrich the rural economy. Weald to Waves is farmer and land-manager led, working alongside councils, researchers, wildlife charities, schools, gardeners, and community groups to restore and connect nature. Everyone in Sussex can get involved!

Our Partnership
Our gardens and community green spaces provide vital stepping stones for wildlife across Sussex. Weald to Waves is driven by data and evidence from our members to guide actions and support local wildlife to survive and thrive. The Buzz Club will work with Weald to Waves to combine our efforts to make gardens wildlife friendly, by sharing our experiments, creating new projects, running events and sharing resources!
Glaswelltir Ceredigion Grassland
Who are Glaswelltir Ceredigion Grassland?

This public group aims to increase flower-rich grassland in Ceredigion by providing joined-up support and policy, whilst connecting landowners, schools, environmental groups and communities.

Our Partnership
This partnership has created the Grassland ID Project. Children across Ceredigion, aged 7-11, will experience three workshops with Plantlife, in which they will learn how to identify different insects and plants. The Buzz Club will then use ID quizzes throughout the project to track the progress of learning.

This follows on from our Insect ID Quiz Project, in which we have determined ID training is effective in adults of all ages - but can it be effective with children? We are excited to find out!

This project also provides land management plans to local grasslands (where the workshops are held), making them more wildlife friendly. This project will foster an interest, and a sense of ownership over local grasslands in children, leading to a new generation of nature-enthusiasts!
